Have you ever read J.M. Barrie’s original book Peter Pan? He spends pages explaining fairies and that they are too small to feel more than one emotion at once, so when Tink feels jealous, that’s all she feels. She doesn’t have the capacity to consider anything else. And she does feel bad once she realizes what she’s done and that Peter is upset with her.

I do agree that Tink’s image has strayed from Barrie’s original intention for her, though
